  1. Thanks for bringing this up Hotaka Scott, I meant to post this earlier this month but seems I didn't. We are going to extend that nomination deadline by a month, until the end of June, to allow for more people to nominate.
  2. It didn't work! You'd think they might spend 4 or 5 seconds more with their 'advertising campaign'. Actually I kind of prefer these kind of people more than the ones who go about their business in a much more sneaky way. Sorry, Will, off topic.
  3. why, thank you. Good to hear that (only a short while ago some rather unreasonable person had given me a right for me not letting him do what he wanted to do. The trials of trying to run a Forum fairly and to the best of your abilities.... ) But anyhow, welcome and good luck with the telling and the planning TobyJug.
  4. Hello ckang008 The resort bus finished operations as of last Sunday. There is always the normal public bus from the East Exit of Echigo Yuzawa Station. Here are the times from Bus lane 1 according to the resort: 6:05am 8:20am 9:15am (Saturday/Sunday only) 10:10am 11:40am 12:50pm If you do go, do let us all know how it went!
  5. Fantastic. That sure looks like more fun than 30 degrees and stuck behind a computer!
  6. Gala have been planning and are apparently now seeing to fixing up what needs fixing up on that southern area with a view to opening it for 09/10. (Whether the Ropeway connecting Gala with Yuzawa Kogen will also re-open is another matter as that is operated jointly by both the resorts).
  7. Season extended until May 1st! http://www.snowjapan.com/e/daily/naeba-now.php
  8. And just while we are here, if you do decide to contact places directly, please consider doing so via our site (it all helps support us in what we are doing). Thanks and good luck with your planning. http://www.snowjapan.com/e/hotel/index.html
  9. Just to clear that one up: no, incorrect - we are not a booking agent and we are also not a travel agent.
  10. Hi danielt and welcome You may already know this but if you look at our daily reports from Shiga Kogen you'll be able to see how things were day-by-day over the past 7 seasons. http://www.snowjapan.com/e/daily/shiga-kogen-now.php Hope that helps.
  11. I haven't actually heard yet but we will probably post some numbers when we get them sometime this month.
  12. That is certainly a good idea. Thanks for all your photos and reports ILoveZao.
  13. Yes Mike - consistently fantastic photos. Thank you for uploading and sharing them with us all. Many people have enjoyed (and will continue to enjoy) seeing them. Your photos have certainly brought Niseko to the attention of a lot of people within the site too, in a very positive way. Hope to hear about Chile too. Have a great summer and keep in touch!

  18. As someone else said, perhaps give them a bit of time to come back. Not everyone is checking out the forums multiple times daily. I'm hoping they will be back. Unfortunately, sometimes this kind of thing is going to happen. Many times we have spent time getting back to people (off the forums) and not heard anything back from them in return. No thanks, no nothing. Perhaps they think that we owed them our time/advice, we are some sort of free advice centre or something.... It can be annoying. The good thing is that even if the original poster doesn't come back with their th

  24. Hi BHB thanks for posting and welcome. To upload photos, here's what you do. Register here: http://www.snowjapan.com/e/insider/login.php That should only take a few seconds. We will need to approve that (it's to minimise spam) but once we have done that you can then go to your member section and the photo upload form. Which is here: http://www.snowjapan.com/e/insider/photo_gallery_image_uploader.php (there's a link on the right hand side of the Forums too >>) It should be self-explanatory, but if you have any problems at all feel free to email us at editor@sno
