  1. If we don't get a dump soon all of June will have been a write off. 2.5 weeks till I'm up at falls, I hope there is enough to get 3-4 lifts going... If not I'm going to be hitting up the pubs for most of the time :-(

  3. I would have thought japan being realativly progressive on the environmental front like Australia, that the resort owners would be forced to take down the abandoned lifts. I remember iwatake has quite a few lift lines abandoned, but obviously they are still running overall as a resort. I'm sure it wouldn't take much for the owner to be forced to take down the line. Just a few guys with angle grinders and gas torches a few days to take down the towers in pieces on the back of trucks in the summer season... It could let the mountain return to its original state. But I guess in some wa
  4. Have they just left all the equipment up on the mountain or have they pulled most of it down? Most resorts don't seem to pull down the lifts once they have abandoned that line I Japan.

  7. I picked up a 2013 jones hovercraft 160 for $260AU from a small online store from the states. I couldn't say no with that price. Problem is that I don't think I will get to use it till jan 2014 as the ski season here is not with having a pow board up the mountain with you.
  8. -20.7, did you just suddenly think to search "smelly bint" to pull up this topic on a snow forum?
  9. Dakine gortex gloves do the job for me. If you pick them up from the states you can save up to 50% compared to aus/japow
  10. Wow, I didn't know you could get one in that size?!?
  11. Have gone the hero pass again this year for hotham and falls. Excellent value at $700 for the season. Should be up there for at least 10-14 days this year.
  12. Having too many In bad locations is just as bad as having not enough. I prefer a power board hidden away in a tv cabinet over 25 sockets in the one location. You're better off having a LAN connection or something like that installed.
  13. Just for the record, Australia has just had the hottest summer on record, it's also had the hottest autumn so far. The weather authority here just had to add a new temperature range as some parts of the country were outside of the hottest possible range. But that doesn't mean that it's not a one off fluke...
  14. I use Chrome with an ad blocker app. Brilliantly quick and clean.
  15. Vinyl sounds better if you're listening to anything produced with "real" instruments, don't know why, it just does. It seems to add life to the recording. I think it has to do with the mid to high treble sounds.
  16. Is that actual photos of the crown wall? The slope looks fairly gentle... Big slide though.
  17. Burton imperials are the best boots I've used. Good for narrow feet.
  18. If it was an 8ft deep crown wall the late in the season it would have to be a full depth av.
  19. Again it's intensity that is the most important for weight loss. Here's a study that backs it up. http://www.theage.com.au/executive-style/fitness/forget-the-jog-slog-and-fit-in-a-sprint-for-maximum-weight-loss-results-20120628-215a4.html
  20. Awesome work Mike, always a pleasure waking up here in oz reading about the snow in Hokkaido. It's in my daily morning ritual. Till next season!
