  1. Invest in one of those red tractor snow remover thingoes, for sure. Excuse my aussie ignorance on snow removal machinery but way to go!
  2. Can't agree more with Dunga. Inspired every time I view this thread to get out there and enjoy the snow as much as all the people in the photo's. (Which put my ipod classic scenery images to shame)
  3. Thanks again, didn't know that. Looking at the photo, wondering if it is a dark beer too?
  4. Thanks Muikabochi Made by Kirin, has a gold label and angry birds protect it. I will look again for it soon!
  5. Thanks for the review BM. Really interested in yours and others feedback on powder boards especially ones that perform amongst the trees.
  6. Quaffing a Sapporo Classic as I type from MIJ recommendation. Very nice, suits me too. Muickaboichi, do you have photo of Aki aji. I have been looking for it here (kutchan) but not seen yet There are alot of different varieties to chose from at supermarket, I might be looking straight at it and not know.
  7. Got it, not on tablet now. Thanks David. Nice!! Good conditions for Gozaimas to try his new stick.
  8. Had trouble opening video but can imagine.. Off to Resutsu tomorrow, with fresh legs. Can't wait.
  9. Keen to catch up for a beer or two. Just got in town and definitely had an awesome day today. Legs will be sore tommorrow, for sure!!! Where/ when ?
  10. Bonne Annee! Will have to add France to my list too which is getting longer
  11. Dubai ! For the novelty of snowboarding in the desert and all the touristy extras eg driving a race car. (I know you can do it here but it looks so much better there) But as it can be a stop over on the way to Europe. Not sure where there yet but maybe Chechoslovakia (need spell check for that one) or far north, somewhere in Sweden/ Norway. Maybe next year but very hard to be swayed from more Japan.
  12. I would like to assist If anyone would like/ need someone to take some photes for a report back to fellow SJ ers and are there in early jan 13
  13. Look forward to hearing your report too Paul. Very confident it will be awesome !! Thanks for info Mike. All I have to do know is find a few new boarding buds who are keen but no biggie if it doesnt happen, mulling over a few other ideas and been checking the snow reports
  14. Hey MikePow I have been viewing the thread on Weiss Cat tours and have come to the conclusion that it may be a bit of a dissapointment. The impression I get from the Weiss thread is it would be shelling out big dollars for flattish terrain. I am no pro but like a bit of challenge and like everyone search for untracked powder (I suppose thats my motivation for wanting to explore the luxury of cat tours) and willing to shell out my hard earn dollars if I know I am going to come home with a smile on my dial. Have you or if anyone has any more details or experienced the Niseko Snow cats firs
  15. Beer 2012 - lol - Beer is good - Japanese beer is good. Only really tried the big name stuff - Asahi and Kirin but now keen to try others so I can give some informative feed back. Keen to try aki - aji to see if it lives up to the hype & others. Thanks - advice on beer is always appreciated.
  16. I wear a helmet too. It has saved my melon on a cat track in oz - of all things. They can be deadly in spring conditions due to melt, freeze, melt (shade / sun) and tracking from boards and not paying attention on my part. Caught an edge at speed and back slapped the ice - woke up 5 mins later seeing stars. No claret and live to board another day - thanks helmet. I also agree with teikiatsulover as in my case when I wear a beanies (especially in Japan - snowie conditions) my goggles constantly fog up but the problem is greatly reduced when I wear my helmet. I think it allows more air flow vi
  17. Suimasen. Just wondering what others do for muscle soreness after you have done a big session on the snow and know its going to be another epic day tommorrow? At this point in time I take Magnesiun tablets as a supplement Fish oil for joints Combine with 2 x Asahi 1 x long onsen / with stretching (discretely) & plenty of rest
  18. Thanks Mamabear , Sounds like the most logical approach. Will do but have been strictly informed I am only allowed one new board. Can still see an argument brewing with the finance minister
