I didn't rate Furano after trying Niseko. It just didn't have anywhere like the same impact for me. The relative 'lack' of snow had a big part in that.

My friend has this. Yamaha. Looks and sounds incredible. Costs best part of 200,000 yen too. You can go wild on these things if you really want. Can't imagine wanting/needing more than the sound that comes out of the above though.

ippy just said ropeways suck in another thread. I agree, I really don't like them. The timing, the waiting, the scrunching in together with other smelly people. Just hassle. Gondolas are a bit bitter. But give me a fast quad lift with a hood any day.

Friend of mine showed me some video over the weekend of some skiing from way way back, you know the long and thin wooden skis. Anyone here ever tried skiing on wooden skis?

Are you cycling in the week ippy, or just weekends. Going to get my bike out this weekend and take a ride I think.
