Pants and jacket are separate. I saw it at Takeda last year and could not walk out without it. I finally wore my other gear today after 26 days as Sakura-jin. -
New snowboard/bindings

Well I gave it a whirl with my Cartels at Hakkoda. Love love love the BTX technology. The conditions weren't ideal today ( no new snow this week) but the powder I did find never once swallowed the nose. The catch-free design they tout is no gimmick. very happy I went now. -

Just bought a LibTech Birdman 180. I'm trying to talk myself out of driving somewhere right now to try it out. -
What kind of car do you drive?
Memphis Hawk replied to Memphis Hawk's topic in General off-topic discussions
The paint was maybe a 5/10 when I bought the car, so I said that was going to repaint it. My wife asked to draw on it a little since I was repainting anyway and I came home to the start of what you see. Still gonna repaint but it's just in this state for now. It wins car shows left and right so it's incentive not to change it. -

No new snow in Hakkoda today. Bluebird day. Snow was a tight packed powder. It was my first time up there so I was glad to have it. I'm on a phone so I can't upload pics to the site but here's a linked one. Boarded down by this river until I found a land bridge to get over it. Don't know if it will work. -
Happy new year everyone. I don't have Japanese tv, so AFN will have to do !

Hakkoda tomorrow. I'd write a review but I reckon there's already some really good ones out there. -

Yeah it's still a little thick in Aomori. How often do you go to Hakkoda. I need a partner. That's the number one thing that keeps me away too much from there -

Has been dead essentially my first 4 days out. More snow will invariably mean more people though. -

appi giveaway?
Memphis Hawk replied to Ivan's topic in Snow talk, trip reports, Japan avalanche & backcountry
There isn't any snow worth going for there right now anyway, so no need to be in a hurry. haha. Ivan if you didn't go to Naqua this weekend you missed a great one! It snowed about a foot, EASY.. they are DEFINITELY under-reporting their snowfall. -

Yeah, I hate to break it to what is apparently the majority of people who do not realize, but for several years now, bands from EVERY genre use click tracks with various instruments or vocals churning along. Watch Steel Panther videos from live performances. These guys are top musicians no doubt, but no guitarist can play 3 guitar parts at once, and bass players can't hold a mirror in one hand and tease their hair with the other and play the bass. I'm sure they do it to supplement their act, with admittedly is perfect, but at the same time, it sucks that it's getting harder to see your favorit

What kind of car do you drive?
Memphis Hawk replied to Memphis Hawk's topic in General off-topic discussions
Everything. The seats, the seatbelts, the engine and exhaust systems are not compliant. Too low, no horn, airbags are gone. Almost everything is illegal. I bought it as a track car. But 2 years ago it passed and it's just time to turn in the plates. I knew the day would come. :-(. I have an impreza that is much better all around street car too. GTR has no heat ,radio, AC. -

It's just paint. Plus it's just track car. Shaken expires in march and it's no longer street legal. Can't pass the check anymore.
