He looks a bit angry. As one would be, I suppose.

What's that, WV, a device? You should give it to Chriselle. His truck needs one.

The next week we were riding in that same friend's old MG roadster, with the spinner hubs. (Because my wheels were still out of commission.) On the first leg of an epic road trip to visit a friend of ours who was away for the summer somewhere. While crossing a bridge 30 minutes in, the front end suddenly dropped and went Thunk!, and the car came to a grating stop, as we watched the right front tire roll away from us across the bridge. My friend turned to me and said, "You know, I'm never riding in a car with you again." I replied, "I was just thinking the same thing."

Not a Defender, just an early-'70s vintage Land Rover. (I don't think the name "Defender" even existed back then, did it? Never heard it at the time, anyway.) And it was an awesome vehicle. Perfect for exploring abandoned logging roads. And it was a convertible! If you unbolt the roof. Which we did on occasion. Tie-rods had a nasty habit of falling off at speed, leading to complete loss of steerability. As happened to me once coming up on a highway turn, with a big barn facing on the opposite side of the road. I remarked to my friend who was riding with me at the time, "Oops, w

Guess Where This Is

You know, I was going to guess that, for the same reason. Never seen anything looking so savagely trashed before. -
But does it have a device?

The views from the peak must be awesome.

The best way to watch Star Wars
Metabo Oyaji replied to griller's topic in General off-topic discussions
The best way to watch Star Wars is to watch, err, Star Wars. The original, non-CG-enhanced version, no "Episode Marumaru" nonsense, not even the "Empire Strikes Back" and Ewoks silliness sequels. Certainly none of the "prequels." Really sad how such a brilliant first effort has been continually degraded by every subsequent follow-up and re-touching. ( ) -
Their home page has instructions on how to use the T-bar. It is not like any T-bar I have ever seen before (consisting of a grand sample of two: a local ski area when I was growing up, and Appi Kogen). But the main point, not to try to sit down, would seem to apply. Anyway, it is kind of like a rope tow, for your butt.

I don't think they should leave Black Holes just lying around on-course like that. Bit of a safety concern, if you ask me. -
Not crowded by any means, but enough people to make it feel lively. Maybe half the people there were there for the freestyle competition. No lift lines, fresh snow falling all day. Hard icy base in wind-exposed areas, but to the sides, soft dry powder for the taking. I was happy -- couldn't believe it was April.
