Curious to see how many people wear helmets now I think its about a 60/40 for. I know I would not ski with out one. Mine feels more comfortable than a beanie.Up dated to a uxex this year from a etto helmet.like to hear your thoughts. rosco

just saw the aussie is $ 85.5yen this morning have been saving and waiting for the right time to buy might be monday not sure if it will get much higher but heaps better than last year it was $ 52yen

went ice skating in nz this year with the family called in on our way down from mt hutt to wanaka. rink at lake tekapo great to try some thing new.scary stuff trying not to stack much to the amusment of my wife she has skated before.survied and some how black runs seemed easier

hopfully 13 days in feb then 5 to 7 in aus in august i wish it snowed in queensland

when we where on a tour in the area the guide said the bob sled course was still there left over from the olympics but it has never been used and is just rusting away just out side nagano

I would recommened nagano area lots of resorts and very easy to get to .Our family of 4 simply caught a private transfer picked up at the air port and dropprd of at our cabin in echo land same on the way back sit back and enjoy the veiws and I love those road house stops.Niseko was great but beware of getting snowed in at the air port slept 2 nights on the floor there in 2008 not fun

I use my regular skins for the past two seasons found them great skied one day with out them and my legs really noticed put them staight back on next day my sons now use their ones they use at football. I dont know if they help to keep you warm but they do help the muscles these are the shorts style

For our family of four.8 days min.Having 14 days in 2010 would like longer but work interferes.longer time there would allow more culture time.so much to see but snow comes first

we have 2 skiers and 2snowboaders in the family

my first time skiing was in 2004 at fallscreek oz. been hooked ever scince. japan 2007 its the best.

Hi every one I have enjoyed reading every ones tips on resorts and travel to japans ski feilds. Over the past 18 months.My family went to Hakuba in feb 2009 had a great time. We are going to Nozawa for 7 days & Shiga Kogen for 5 in feb 2010.Could any one recomend the simplist way to get from Nozawa to Shiga Kogen with all our ski gear. Shuttle service etc. thanks Ross
