It was really sunny early this morning, but the clouds have started to move in from over Mt. Myoko.

Interesting day today for temperatures, meaning they are really inconsistent.

Things are changing very quickly as I write our report for the last day of 2019.

Snow! Much needed, fun to be on yesterday, a few more lifts running and slopes open.

A quick report, because it's time to get out on the snow today!

OK, regular readers will remember I said something about things getting white around Christmas, and I am feeling just a bit smug today.

It is white out there, barely. Snow started to fall in the late afternoon, but we really only got a dusting again.

After a sunny, mild day (ideal for finishing up the never-completed task of preparing for winter), we are right on the edge of snow at base level this morning.

We're still in pre-season, and it looks like it's going to stay that way for at least a while longer.

In these pre-season days, as I wrote once before, I always wonder about putting up snow reports when we get a tiny amount, and then we know it's going to disappear in the next few days.

A bit of snow overnight, just enough to almost defeat the 2WD mini van that tried to come up the slope leading up to Akakura Kanko early this morning.

I am going to put in a report here, because we did get measurable snow and it should go in the record.
