New snowfall at base 0cm
Snowfall at base this season 21cm
Posted on Friday 20th December 2019 This is an archived report. The latest Myoko Now report can be found here.
After a sunny, mild day (ideal for finishing up the never-completed task of preparing for winter), we are right on the edge of snow at base level this morning. It's raining, but that has turned to snow a couple of times - not very long, or even stayed on the ground, but it's a good sign.
Normal, really. It also means that it is likely that we're getting some snow up on the hill, which is impossible to see in the fog (oh, yeah, it's gray out there). But we don't mind the gloom; snow doesn't fall on bluebird days.
Akakura Kanko had rescheduled for an opening today, but that's not going to happen. In fact, I don't think any of the areas will be opening tomorrow as announced, so let's just switch to, "open when there's snow" mode.
