I am pleased to see 15-20cm or so of snowfall being reported by a few resorts this morning. On the upper areas.

And on a day when we hear of snowfall in places where it doesn't usually fall, I am happy to also report some snow in a place where it most definitely should be falling.

I was up at Hakuba 47 yesterday morning. It was good to have snow falling up top but as lunchtime approached it has turned to more sleet-like and then rain; like down below at base.

More good news from Hakuba this morning, and I am indeed revved up.

Snow falling in the afternoon and evening yesterday - and falling very nicely at times in the evening... everyone egging it on!

I am very happy to report that we are on a bit of a roll at the moment. I'll name it a 'relative roll' (because it's not like a full-on total dumpage kind of roll).

I am measuring 8cm both in my usual spot and over at the base of Hakuba 47 just before.

Yesterday wind was causing problems with some lifts but fine weather for the most part especially in the morning with more cloud appearing in the afternoon.

Great news this morning.

Cortina are reporting 30cm of fresh snowfall, Tsugaike appear to be reporting 40cm and Hakuba Goryu are reporting 30cm. These numbers are more like it!

This morning the resorts are reporting around 10-15cm of fresh snowfall on upper areas with up to a handful of cm down at base.

Snow clouds are hanging over Hakuba this morning with only the lower areas of mountain visible right now, but by the looks of the webcams visibility on the mountain is fairly decent though variable in places.
