Good news from Hakuba this morning.
After a cloudy day yesterday...
I am measuring 8cm both in my usual spot and over at the base of Hakuba 47 just before.
It might not be the lightest and fluffiest variety of snow - it's a bit heavy and wet down here at base.
I noted that Hakuba Happo-one are themselves proclaiming 'powder snow' at top of the Riesen quad as of 2 hours ago.
So yes it is great to see 15-25cm of fresh snowfall on the upper mountain areas this morning. And I'll leave it at that for today. I am excited to head up to the higher slopes once I get this report posted.
