Yesterday the sun was out for the day and it was pretty warm, but it was also hazy with some very thin high cloud around as well. Got fairly chilly during the evening though.

The rain did hold off for a big part of the day but came back later in the afternoon.

Fresh snow! There has been just a dusting here at base and town level; and the Kagura resort is reporting 5cm or so.

There were some really stunning views of a thick 'sea of clouds' hanging over the Minamiuonuma valley areas this morning, as the day started off with thick fog and low cloud.

A much greyer palette this morning and unfortunately - as forecast - it's raining.

It's a very warm spring day here today and going to be t-shirt weather later on. High of up to 17 degrees?!

More blue sky above us this morning though cloudier out to the north and we are expecting cloudy conditions for the day today - and rain later on.

We are being treated to a good old late season blast of winter at the moment.

It is an early report this morning mainly due to some technical work that needs to be done today... which means that some of the other reports may be delayed today.

Yesterday was one of those 'best forgotten' days in a season.

Yesterday ended up with some very changeable conditions.

Started snowing quite heavily once I had posted the report yesterday and especially during the morning it continued, less so in the afternoon.

It was snowing most of the day yesterday - a few periods when it looked like it might actually clear up - but curiously we didn't get that much in terms of new cm.

The snow took a bit of time to get going properly yesterday.
