A very good morning to you all from Yuzawa.
The snow took a bit of time to get going properly yesterday but to get to the headlines... there's just under 25cm of snow on the top of my car this morning (it has been parked there since yesterday morning) and resorts are reporting around 30cm of fresh snowfall overnight.
Kagura were during the day (yesterday) reporting 20cm, so I reckon that's 50cm up there since yesterday.
Nice.
It is a very welcome return to feeling like mid winter again!
Snow continues to fall and is expected for the day and tomorrow too; the snow clouds possibly even hanging around the region into Friday. This may very well be the last considerably fall of the season, so the more the better.
Not much wind this morning here at town level anyway but a chance of stronger later on. For now though, it would seem that the skijo will all be opening as planned.
It's brilliant to see the fresh snow on the ground.
