The rain did hold off for a big part of the day but came back later in the afternoon.
It's cleared up now though and a bit of low cloud in the valleys aside it is going to be a fine and sunny day and warm up to around 13-14 degrees in town.
More rainfall is forecast from tomorrow and with the freezing point rising to around the 3000m level we probably can't hope for any snow up high even.
Today is the last day of the season for Maiko Snow Resort and Kandatsu Kogen. NASPA Ski Garden is open today as well and they plan to be open next week as well. With the fast snow melting, it will be interesting to see if they still do that. We will of course let you know if there's any news.

Official snow depths:
GALA Yuzawa:
Official snow depth of 260cm.
The South Area is now closed.
The Central Area, most of the North Area and the downhill course remain open.
Kagura:
Official snow depth of 350cm.
All three main areas of Kagura remain pretty much fully open.
The 'Kagura Park' is closed now but should be re-opening in mid April.
Kandatsu Kogen:
Official snow depth of 250cm.
The base pair lift and the Onakadaira and Ikenotaira quad lifts remain open.
Maiko Snow Resort and NASPA Ski Garden are also open today and tomorrow.
