All data published in our daily reports is the snowfall observed by our trusted Niseko Now reporter at base areas of the Niseko Tokyu Grand Hirafu ski area in Kutchan Town, Hokkaido. Refer to the individual daily reports (links below) for a detailed commentary on the season.

  • The total snowfall observed during the season was 728cm

  • Fresh snowfall was observed at base on 85 days

  • 85cm of snowfall was observed on 10 days in November 2019

  • 207cm of snowfall was observed on 21 days in December 2019

  • 224cm of snowfall was observed on 20 days in January 2020

  • 143cm of snowfall was observed on 19 days in February 2020

  • 59cm of snowfall was observed on 12 days in March 2020

  • 10cm of snowfall was observed on 3 days in April 2020

  • The first snowfall observed at base was on 8th November 2019

  • The last snowfall observed at base was on 9th April 2020

  • The most snowfall observed in one report was 33cm on 21st January 2020
