Independent snow and weather reporting from the Niseko region of Hokkaido

New snowfall at base 3cm
Snowfall at base this season 55cm

Posted on Tuesday 26th November 2019 This is an archived report. The latest Niseko Now report can be found here

I bring fresh snowfall news. 3cm of it down to my base point, so it is just a thin layer but certainly better than rain. It was coming down quite nicely at one point yesterday afternoon and I am hearing from a resort working friend that around 10cm or so had fallen higher on the mountain. So that is good news.

There is quite a lot of cloud around this morning but we are still expecting some sunshine during the day.
