Some light rain yesterday afternoon in base areas I'm afraid and I only have what amounts to a sprinkling of snow to report to you this morning. There was a bit up on the mountain during the day yesterday I hear, but it didn't manage to get down here, where it was remaining relatively mild.
It is definitely colder this morning.
The weekly forecast is showing some regular snowfall in the coming week, though with the chance of some rain and milder conditions over the weekend again.
A prolonged delay is of course disappointing, but as long as the taps are turned soon...

If you are like me, you might not be a big fan of airports. In my case it is probably due to over-exposure over the years, but I enjoy spending as little time in them as possible and try not to be seduced by all the yummy things to eat and stuff to spend money on.
I do remember at one time being excited at the thought of visiting the airport and what was ahead, of course, so I am sure that is the case for visitors. Especially ones looking forward to some Niseko snowy goodness.
Anyway, apparently New Chitose Airport has had something of a refresh this year with new stuff to help the process (and no doubt new stuff to sell you too!)
Enjoy the facilities and be excited about what is ahead...
