snobee 0
Because the avalanches of salt on the boiled vegies need to be balanced with tons of sugar on the pud'n.
damian 0
I have always been repulsed by the concept of putting sugar on fresh fruit, especially strawberries. My old man with his pom background does it. It annoys the hell out of me... doesn't he realise that he is often eating some of the sweetest fresh Australian fruit available? What can you expect from a person that can't pronounce yogurt properly. As for salt, never heard of it being done. Strange idea.
akibun 0
What is pom background?

Ocean11 0
akibun, Australians call English people 'poms'. db is having a backhanded sort of boast that his dad is a recent English immigrant and not one of the first batch of convicts that went over. I'd rather have a chilli pepper enema than eat grapefruit with salt on it...
enderzero 0
But would you rather have a grapefruit enema? French fries dipped in you milkshake is a classic juxtaposition of meal and dessert.
cheeseman 1
Peel a few apples. Cut them up. Cut up some Edam. Sit down and enjoy. Magic.
cal 6
Here's a new one. Sugar on baked fish. I thought they were kidding, not sure what kind of fish it was but apparently some kind of speciality meal. I didn't like it too much, the tastes didn't match at all.
AIKO 0
I like a little salt on apple. Whats wrong with it? It is first time I hear about sugar on fish!
mina2 6
Add strawberry and pineapple to the list. Yes, I was given salt covered strawberrys and pineapple at a Japanese home yesterday. Yuck!
