indosnm 0
I have just upgraded to the 40MB Broadband from the 8MB. Now it seems that everytime someone rings my home the connection cuts out. The thread below was about the same prob. Did anyone ever find an answer to this problem?? Can't be just the way its meant to be because it never happened with the 8Mg service??? http://www.skijapanguide.com/cgi-bin/ubbcgi/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=8;t=001595#000010
r45 4
Still happens here. After a short while its ok again, but sometimes it does cut. I have asked a few times about this, and they even came to check the connection - with no luck.
AET 0
You're not alone, it happens with me and it's a right pain.
nzlegend 1
I wouldnt know, I flagged the land line, couldnt see the point of it seeing the Mrs Kamo and myself both have Keitais. International calls you say? use the internet for calling its free, plus you can use a web cam and have a teleconference.
indosnm 0
Kamo, need the landline mate! Running business' from home & if we gave out keitai numbers we would never be free! Seems to be doing it just sometimes, bugger if you are downloading something though.
Roger's head 0
It's rubbish. I have the problem too sometimes. And of course it always happens at just the worst time
bobby12 0
my connection cuts out from time to time (ntt adsl 8mb), but it has nothing to do with the land line. Nobody knows my landline number so i get maybe one call a month (every time a wrong number). Thus, this is a problem with NTTs structure I think. I called them and they gave me a new modem, but the problem didnt go away. They said I had to pay 2man if I wanted to them to 'try to' fix it properly.
Roger's head 0
It may have nothing to do with your land line, but it sure does with mine. 100% of the time, it only happens when the phone rings and we pick up.
AET 0
Same here. It only happens when we pick up the phone.
LiquidX 0
bobby12, same as the others - it only happens when the phone goes off. Usually gets ok after a minute or so.
joshnii 2
I have to take my cables out of the PC and put them back in for it to work again.
MistaSparkle 0
had a salesguy, offering Osen fiber to residents in my building, come knocking on my door a few weeks back... I'm using a DION 40mbps ADSL which kicks some ass, but the Osen fiber connection is supposed to be 100Mbps and about the same price... Anyone use it?

sanjo 2
How much difference do you notice between 8 and 40?
indosnm 0
Notice a little speed increase when browsing, but downloading is way faster. Sometimes I am hitting over 200k/b a sec when downloading off poisoned etc.
KlingKlang 1
Yes, big jump in speed when downloading stuff, but not so much when just viewing online.
big-will 7
I've noticed a fairly big jump in speeds since I went from 8 to 40 (as you might expect of course!). Definitely worth just a bit extra.
