I'm glad they saved at least some of the cows. I like cows. Is that the small village where the famous cow fighting festival thing goes on every year? I'm sure I hear something about that on our local news every year (Niigata is next to us)

I love those dudes, just watching them swim about is a real relaxing joy. A house near where I live have a pond with quite a few big dudes in there. He keeps it all in immaculate condition, the whole place is beautiful.

Let's hope they can be a success.

Quite a lot, the best ones more than sen-man so I heard. (Is that true?)

Actually I went to a koi museum type place in Ojiya just before summer it was really interesting - I wonder if that is still there now? On the same day also went up to Yamakoshi-mura to take a look at all the carp up there. It was a really pretty place.

Sure glad I wasn't there on Oct 23rd. eek.gif 30 minutes to the south was bad enough.....

You can get them fairly cheap but the big ones cost a fortune. Really sad seeing all those dead ones lying about - but they found the Big Mummy of them all alive and kicking which was a relief.
