tsunami benefit concert feb 4 Tokyo

Recommended Posts

Finally got all the info. The band I play with will be performing but I won't be able to join them. It happens to be the only friday nite in 3 months that I'm already booked to work somewhere else \:\( . I should be able to watch the first band, though, before taking off, so if anyone's going down, PM me and let's meet.

Actually there's a number of tsunami benefit concerts at the moment, which is great.

Anyway, here's the info I was sent for anyone interested in going.

PM me if you go (with hopefully enough notice) - we could try and hook up if you're there early.

I also have a regular Sunday nite piano bar gig at Virgin Cinemas, Roppongi Hills. PM for details if you want to pop down sometime.

Well, not inside the actual cinema itself, but inside the cinema complex. During the Tokyo film fest people would pass thru on their way to and from VIP screenings. I got so see some celebs - J actors - who I wouldn't have a clue about, except that people were asking for autographs. I missed seeing any western actors/actresses, but the staff tell me about them passing thru.

Yes, everyone's getting out in force to do something. Artists are also donating paintings, etc etc....

I heard yesterday from and Indian woman I know living in Oz that a close friend of her relatives who she knew had lost his wife and daughter, but miraculously he and his son survived. She's in shock, understandably.

Thanks for the nice feedback slow. Yama, working hard on it as we speak. I need to do as much a possible on it so I have time to go skiing again.

Thank you for lots of info, sunrise!

There is also tusnami benefit concert at The Pink Cow in Aoyama on Sunday night.

I was there last night. The event(not tsunami benefit) was very nice, too. I donated some money to a charity .

I may go to see the jazz band you sent me the link on Saturday night, since I have been interested in that Shakuhachi player.

Candela? You'll really like them I'm sure. I'd love to pop in if I have time.

That Pink Cow has some intereesting stuff on sometimes.

Montoya, the guy I know at Play is Rob Schwartz.

I'll be at least checking out Groove Indigo (see original post), and throwing some notes into the donation box on Friday before I have to dash off to work.
