snowbender 3
Saw this in another thread and thought it was interesting. Many ski jo are pushing it to be called resorts, but how would you clasify a "resort"?
Ocean11 0
A place where you can snowboard too perhaps?
quattro 1
A place that has something more then just ski or boarding. Decent hotels, shopping, apres ski and alternative activity's. Vail, Lech, or Zermatt are resorts. If they don't have that as a minimum then i could classify the local rope tow as a resort.
sanjo 2
So is "Happo" a resort or is "Hakuba" a resort?
big-will 7
It's a skijo (that also allows those pesky snowboyaros on there too).
nagpants 1
I'd sure call Happo a resort. I'd call Hakuba a resort town.
rach 1
They can call them what I want for all I care. I see lots of skijo now call themselves snow resorts.
muikabochi 208
Tsuchitaru resort. Makes me laugh. I read somewhere them calling themselves that. It's 1 goddam 300m long lift
HighlyTrainedNovaTeacher 2
For your resort life, no doubt. If they server free pork soup on the opening day, that sounds like it counts to me.
BagOfCrisps 24
What does jo actually mean?
soubriquet 0
It means "place" (I believe).
