sanjo 2
Actually I took that photo near Suhara/Yamakoshi (that little village in the mountains that got destroyed by the earthquake) over golden week. This snow is on a rice field - no hills at least 100m. I thought it looked really strange so took the photo.
soubriquet 0
WAs it at the edge of the road?
snobee 0
That'd be Sharpened Snow to prevent snow theft.
sanjo 2
It was probably about 5m from the edge of the road.
soubriquet 0
It's the line of snow built up along the verge by the snow blowers during the winter. In the spring the authorities come along with a digger to break it up, so the farmers can have their fields back. The lumps are the individual bucket loads.
grungy-gonads 54
I bet they'd want to actually encourage snow theft , snobee
SKI 15
Wouldn't want that snow - too dirty.
snobee 0
DIRTY!!! That's pretty good mid-range stuff out here. Granulated for extra roll. You're only a pig if you wallow in it.
bushpig 0
I wouldn't wallow in that
