AK 77 0
Hello all, where do you think has the best park in Japan? To second guess the 'it depends on...' responses, I mean, well shaped, well maintained, good size (10 - 17 meter tables), variety (hips, rails, etc), well maintained pipe... doesn't have to be BIG, could be a really fun local park type place.... with less crowds than big ones, maybe. Just after any opinions.... Thanks
Fattwins 0
I think takasu snow park or dynaland but there arent many 10 to 17 meter tables in Japan mate.
RogerMellie 0
Whats the best park in Hakuba?
banjobiwan 0
http://www.hakuba47.co.jp/e/ by the looks of it hakuba 47 has a decent park and pipe with hips, rails, tables and a few boxes looks pretty good compared to perisher or thredbo here in oz
Fattwins 0
The park at dynaland is 2 times bigger and the pipe 30% better. Takasu 3 times bigger and 4 pipes.
Fattwins 0
But then sorry there is yanaba in hakuba which is only a park resort cause thats all they have
Yuki's Passion 1
I heard Joetsu Kokusai has a really sweet park/pipe too. Some pretty big kickers but havent been. Could be worth a look.
dizzy 0
last april, Nango, http://www.sayurinosato.co.jp built apparently what was Japan's largest kicker at the time, the "Monster Kicker". no pics of it on the net that i could find, but it was in last October's Transworld JP. pretty high, with a 15 or 16-meter gap, but pretty rare for japan. cal 6
Wow, anyone able to check that one out?
AK 77 0
Thanks for all your replies, I see that most of them are in the Hakuba area. I know that coming to Japan to ride park is missing the point (fresh snow), but if out of bounds kicker building spots are limitted (by trees or patrol) then a good park is fun. What about the resorts that host the Burton Open in Japan - i think it's ALTS Bandai, or something like that this year?
Fattwins 0
no one said building ob kicker isnt allowed. you can walk into the BC 5 mins away and build a big jump if you want to. 47 has plenty of that.
