For some of them snowboarding is the main thing now, and ski-jo is a term that started when it was all skiing. It will be interesting to see if more resorts do change their names. Ocean11 0 Posted October 10, 2002 Share Posted October 10, 2002 Last night on the local news there was an item about some local worthies (the usual grey old farts, 7-Stars etc.) who were presenting a plan to Governor Tanaka for more roads in Nagano so as to make it a 'sukii oukoku' - a Kingdom of Ski.
