Will Lee 0
Sounds good. Don`t we all wish it`d stay that way? Hope it won`t get too crowded when I finally get up there in Jan.
olivermauss 0
Honestly dont think people have that much money to spend on flights and all this year. And JAL and co are not going to make things any cheaper in this environment... Should be ok...
Ocean11 0
obm, that's an unusual way of describing Niseko - 'rather nice'. I've only ever heard it described in tones of ecstasy or disappointed disgust.
danz 0
i'll be sure to wave into the camera for y'all this weekend! keep an eye out for danz!
BagOfCrisps 24
Will be looking for you on the webcam image dude.
scouser 4
Going tomorrow danz. Well, with your lift ticket and the other 2 people - the resort might break the 20,000 yen revenue barrier (given that you might take a break and have some delish curry-rice).
olivermauss 0
Ocean11, I'm a humble man by nature, dont like to get people to excited. I've been boarding Niseko every year for 7 years. In fact last year I didnt go to any other mountain. Looking at the total package (snow, terrain, weather, lodging, access, price, entertainment), its numero uno in Japan, and seriously outranks some of the larger resorts in Europe and the US, in my humble opinion. I know that opinions differ, but try getting run after runof untracked, champagne-esque powder 3 day weekend after 3 day weekend in any other resort in the world... Rather a difficult task. Ocean11 0
Perhaps it might even merit a 'rather special' rating then, whereas Nozawa might just be 'rather nice'?
brit-gob 9
Tally ho, chaps. I'll be a-going myself soon
olivermauss 0
hmmm... cant compare to Nozawa (onsen?) never been. Whats it like? Good off piste?
Ocean11 0
Nozawa has good off-piste. Probably not as spacious as Niseko from the looks of it though (I haven't been).
