Office aircon, the chilled water is set at highest flow equating to 18C. You have to call the service people to turn it up to something like 23.

Home is set to 25. Sometimes 26.

If I had one (which I do not, at home - but did used to at work, before I retired) I'd have it set at 21deg C, comfortable, all year round! No point stuffing about with the settings, just cause confusion and uses excessive electricity for no real effect!

28oC is not cooling it is heating.

It was that stupid idiot Koizumi that started that silly 28oC warm your room up biz.

28C in a house with windows open and fans on is not unpleasant but it must be a nightmare in an office with closed windows and mechanical "cooling". I doubt I'd stay awake, especially after lunch.

Are we still 'short of electricity', btw?

Can't say I have heard much about it this year yet.

Certainly haven't heard the % usage data on the news and stuff like that.
