ugachuga 0
Anyone been out at 4-5am at places that open crazy early. I have Kandatsu Kogen in mind because it is so convenient using the Shink.
danz 0
unless there is tons of nice new fresh snow, or the staff REALLY knows how to groom the mtn. well, than I would not bother skiing at 5am...snow won't be in the best shape... and besides...I found kandatsu to be very small...if you started riding there at 5am, I imagine you might get bored by noon...and thats if you don't get bored riding the same run for 7hrs... danz
montoya 0
I think Kandatsu's main slope opens at 5:30 this year: http://www.kandatsu.co.jp/price.html The one time I tried it, it actually wasn't that good. The snow was really icy, on top of which their machines had just completed grooming most of the slope, so that it was became even more compressed snow. Turns out we had to wait till it warmed up later in the morning so it became rideable. So, really depends on the weather.
Will Lee 0
The earliest I`d ever boarded was from 6am at Iwappara. The visibility wasn`t so good(not a naita person)and I found the slopes to be a bit on the icy side. Also, usually "early ski" is only available within a limited area. Kandatsu Kogen`s early ski time only applies on the weekends, I believe.

oo 1
I would rather be fast asleep right up until the late hour of 6am, I'm afraid.

7-11 2
I was up in the area last weekend, and early on it was real busy around there. Can't see the runs from the main road, but enough cars around.
Ocean11 0
This is not quite related, by I'm told that you can ride the lifts at Kurumayama for free for an hour from 7:30 http://www.kurumayama.com/gelande/lift_price_r.htm They also have an all nighter once a month.
