I'm fairly certain they had electronic, credit card-sized electronic tickets in the 2009-2010 season.

Don't know if that is before or after you went, though.

Nasu Family Onsen is electronic?

Funny that small place like that and Ishiuchi Hanaoka.

Yeah, small coin-shaped ones, if I remember correctly.

Seems overkill for a two-lift place, but I suppose they must have thought it would save on personnel costs or something -- it's a real Mom-and-Pop operation.

Personally prefer paper tickets myself. Souvenir value, and less wasted time at the end of the day having to return the things.

yeah, I have a draw with old lift tickets for souvenirs. If you want a souvenir of Niseko tickets, you may as well put 1000Yen notes in the draw.

You'd think they might give you a piece of paper when you took the chip back. You know, as an omiyage.

Possibly ask for a receipt...?

I meant something more attractive than a receipt, something that looks like a ticket.

Who wants to keep a receipt, unless it's for mr taxman.

If I could claim tax back for skiing, I would drop about 2-3 tax brackets...
