muikabochi 208
Very strange, did I dream that? Or did Nozawa get rid of any 'chip' system in the last few years?
kokodoko 67
Paper Moiwa Rusutsu Furano Kamui (i think if i remember correctly)
MagSeven 40
Yep, everywhere in Hokkaido is paper, apart from Niseko.
Error404 0
Seems fair to say that all but a few are paper.
NoFakie 45
Sanosaka have gone back to paper this year. Their electronic chip thing was the biggest I've ever seen, bigger than a credit card and the same thickness as Goryu's. I like electronic ones that fit in your mitt best. ippy 66
I'm genuinely curious why you'd even want to know... Did you forget to buy one of those wallets, or do you just hate electronic tickets? Pro-tip: stick it in your glove
Error404 0
Interesting resorts dropping the electronic thing. Is that because of cost presumably? Presumably running costs themselves would be low but do they need to cough up annual chunks of dough to the company that installs the system or something?
BagOfCrisps 24
I kind of like keeping the paper ones.
Thundercat 60
It would be quicker to just list the electronic ones. All the electronic ones I know have already been listed

RobBright 35
I kind of like keeping the paper ones. Same here. Reminds me of where I have been during the season, which I enjoyed, which I didn't.
pie-eater 207
Me too. About Nozawa. I'm pretty sure when I went last time, which is a few seasons back, I paid a deposit and got a 'chip'.
ippy 66
It must have been a fair few years ago. Always been paper everytime ive been there, plus no gates at all. Not even the remnants of a gate system. Maybe iiyamadude has the history on it.

Thundercat 60
Is the one at Happo the credit card sized one? I seem to remember using one like that somewhere but can't remember exactly where...
RobBright 35
Is the one at Happo the credit card sized one? I seem to remember using one like that somewhere but can't remember exactly where... Yeah, that's right.
NoFakie 45
Happo's is credit card sized now, but is thin. The old one was the same square as Goryu or Tsugaike. Sanosaka's was credit card sized and thick. It wouldn't fit in some pass holders (the old crappy green one from 47 for example) let alone your gloves.
