Thundercat 60
Yes. Very happy to look out the window here in Goryu. Looks like it's been snowing very hard for a few hours. It's going to be a good day!
Mick Rich 78
Damn it - knew I should have stayed for a few days!!
Thundercat 60
Great day yesterday in crazy conditions. Mad snow, occasional lightning/thunder and then strong winds. Lapped up the runs in the Skyline area of Happo. Good times!
Mike Pow 52
I did at Kiroro today (03 April). Top lifts on wind hold but skied powder on and off the groomed runs on the lower mountain. Up to knee deep (I'm on slalom skis at the moment) and dry and light. Warming up as I type. Hopefully the rain forecast for tonight won't materialise / cause too much damage. best skier in hakuba 5
Must admit, I've lost that lovin' feeling. Always comes a time. I'm sure I'll get out a few more times, but there's no urgency or real need anymore.
Mike Pow 52
It is absolutely chucking it down with rain in the Niseko Resort Area. Been going a good hour now. Bugger.
Zer0star 0
must have had around 30~40 cms of the lightest snow here in Tokachi today and tonight. Crazy stuff.
Mike Pow 52
Ooooh. Thanks for the heads up.

Tubby Beaver 209
I did today at Kagura. Met up with Sand and ripped through some quality slack country with him and my 2 brothers....naked of course, because we are so
brit-gob 9
No lifts too, I presume?
nippontiger 8
Just on the train back from another epic day at Kagura! Met up with the girl I met last time with the fat skis and we were just hitting knee-deep powder runs among the trees all day! She showed me a run I've never been on before linking the very top lift to the Tashiro area. Sweet! Should be plenty of powder left tomorrow for people lucky enough to be heading out there... muikabochi 208
great Gary.... How busy was it?
Mike Pow 52
Yep, at Kiroro. Knee deep on the side of the groomers. Dumping when I left.
nippontiger 8
Wasn't so busy - we queued for a lift for 5 minutes or so once or twice..
muikabochi 208
cool, might go tomorrow
nippontiger 8
Should be a good day there tomorrow - forecast to be sunny. I'd get there early if possible to get the best of the powder conditions.
muikabochi 208
Yes should be sunny but it will be amore leisurely start for us I think. If we go, will probably get to Mitsumata about 9:30-10.
muikabochi 208
A fair bit of cloud this morning to start off with. I think we'll have some brekkie and then decide.

nippontiger 8
It seems pretty straightforward - go under the rope opposite the very top lift exit and follow in the direction of Tashiro - brings you out at the link between Kagura and Tashiro and you can take the cat track back to the panorama run or head over to Tashiro. Its a very wide open run with few trees and even if a few people have been there, you'll still be making fresh tracks because of all the space.
muikabochi 208
The Mitsumata car park was totally full and Tashiro close as well. Ended up going to Naeba: http://www.snowjapanforums.com/index.php/topic/21630-naeba-yuzawa-niigata-8th-april-2012/
rider69 18
Yesterday looked liked the last powder day of the season. The weather trends for all of Japan look very much like spring. Was a great powder season for sure. Had another awesome day yesterday smashing pillow lines with good friends. Time to bag some peaks and ski variable snow I think.
DumbStick 13
Managed to get out on Friday to Hakuba. Great timing and a fine last day to my season which hasn't been that impressive. Probably.
