oo 1
What is a 'premium' beer? A strong alcohol one?
Tubby Beaver 209
yeah. In the UK a premium beer is considered to be one of 5% or more
tokabochi 9
Strange that I associate premium with quality, not strength.

69 5
Someone else mentioned it earlier on but had a really nice bottle of Kirin Classic in a restaurant at the weekend. Lovely.
OzOzOz 2
When beers get 6% or so, bit too strong for my liking. Prefer them around 4-5.

Slippery Jim 65
Never heard of it. Still worth a shufty? If you're in NY and it's a quiet weekday afternoon, McSorley's is still a nice place to stop for a brew. Avoid it on weekends, when plagued by tourists. Claims to be the oldest bar in NY, and probably is. Decent ales: one pale, one dark. Food's OK, nothing special.
