grungy-gonads 54
She is saucy. Actually kind of the same kind of "looks like she's about to cry" moody like Crystal. Shows some leg as well. I watch it for the news though, of course. Can't be doing with all this sexyism stuff.
big-will 7
That lady who does the 5:30pm news on Sunday (Jchannel) makes me laugh. She's kind of cute in a funny face kind of way. But those stupid, stupid 'actions' she does at the end.... dear oh dear.

Chriselle 158
My wife slugs me over all the moaning, ooing, awing and groaning sounds I make during the NHK 7pm weather news...she's nummy.
pie-eater 207
When I hear her say "konban wa" I always remember the aliens in Mars Attacks. Just you listen to her say "konban wa" tonight, you'll see. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YE6LMUxpE7w&feature=related I prefer the naughty affair-having bobbly head lady from before. Chriselle 158
Did you listen out for the Mars Attacks-alike 'konban wa' last night? No, busy with the band last night and tonight. Intrigued though.
BagOfCrisps 24
This might have been discussed before, but why do so many Japanese programmes have great big huge subtitles going on all the time?
Chriselle 158
I think...it's a kind of a subliminal or subconscious attempt at connecting at a personal level with the viewer. It goes hand in hand with the idea of having the same ubiquitous handful of "tarento" on every show and on every channel. Subliminal pseudo-interactive TV. I like it....but I'm just a big dummy. pie-eater 207
It sure helps understand things at times if you can read what people are saying. Especially people from Kansai. It's like in the UK, there should be subtitles for Cockneys, Geordies, the Welsh, Irish and Scottish. It sure would help other people understand what they are saying. It would have to be a 'translation' of course.
pie-eater 207
PS The weather lady didn't really do a good Konban Wa last night. It wasn't as Mars Attack as she can. I hope she pulls through on that tonight.
Chriselle 158
Will be watching tonight. I must admit I need subtitles when I watch a Scottish or Irish flic...

pie-eater 207
After the kangeroo invasion of the Australian Womens Golf.... This caught my eye: One wonders if the kangeroo learnt that pose from Japanese tv newscasters/presenters, or perhaps the other way round
