sanjo 2
In most classrooms I have visited in this area of Niigata - no air-conditioners. Only in the computer room, music room and teachers room.
Tubby Beaver 209
only in private schools, generally the public elementaries don't have air-con in them. In one school, have an "English Room" that thankfully is the only room in the school other than the teachers room that has air-con!!
gnarly-dude 1
None in the elementary and junior schools where I am.

NoFakie 45
Japan spends the lowest amount on education in the OECD. http://search.japantimes.co.jp/cgi-bin/nn20100909a7.html Just get the kids to play in clubs with uniforms the parents buy and teachers doing free overtime to supervise them.
