I hate those things, I can never seem to put them on proper.

For a phone though I think they are a good idea.

For the ipad though if it is in it's case, I don't think I'd get one.

Have one on my phone.

But I can imagine them being difficult to put on a big screen like your ipad.

And thats not something that is going in a pocket with keys etc, and in a case I would think that is enough.

I read that they have stopped selling anything like that in Apple stores. An "our screens are tough enough" message they want to get out?

I'm on my thrid sheet on my iphone.

I let this guy do it in his shop. He sprays alcohol cleaning agent on the screen several times and makes sure its clean and grease free. Then he holds the screen with sticky tape and lowers into place. Then wipes over with a soft cloth. Takes about 43.5 seconds. THe film is held on by static, as to remove it, he just lifts it with a piece of sticky tape.

Saw on ebay that 100 of the ipad cover films cost something like $43. Worth getting some to get some practise in.

I think that needs explaining!

Whip out the protective screen, or something else?

I used to have one on my phone but I ended up taking it off. Have it in a case, still no scratches.
