frannyo 2
I just saw on the news about in Osaka today McDonalds put a new quarter pounder on sale and there was a 1km queue for it! Just as I was about to the piece said that some company had been paying people 1000 yen an hour to stand in the queue, buy and eat the burgers.
joshnii 2
funny. On the news they paid 1000 people to line up.

muikabochi 208
I'd eat one of they paid me 1000 yen, though not keen on queueing for it. :lo:
thursday 1
I would've taken the money, eat the burger and throw up before any news cameras. On a nicer note, I threw up last night from eating too much or was it drinking too much. Can't remember.
Tubby Beaver 209
nah the 1/4 pounder is the best McD's burger....quality!! The double 1/4 pounder aint too shabby either!
big-will 7
Is the double 1/4 pounder not a half pounder?
bobby12 0
big mac > quarter pounder quarter pounder > whopper

RobBright 35
bobby bobby bobby! whats going on?! A whopper easily beats all of those!
bobby12 0
me no like whopper. too dry, too much raw onion. me like big mac and freshness burger. oh and mos burgers are too sloppy and messy. McDs > Freshness > Burger King > Mos
muikabochi 208
Not had one for a while but Whoppers are much better than McDs when I've had them. Not enough raw onion!
NoFakie 45
Using fake customers is called "sakura" in Japanese slang. Ramen places etc. do it when they open. McDonalds normally gets loads of free publicity off the telly, so I would have thought they'd be above doing it. "McDonalds has a new burger" is the type of thing you get on every wide show in the morning. McDonalds is the second-largest recipient of credit card payments in the USA. There must be millions of people paying 20% APR and more on their burger. Assuming they don't go bankrupt and don't pay at all, that is.
joshnii 2
Why's it called "sakura" Mr Wiggles? Can't work that one out! In this case I heard they wanted to get the "biggest sales for 1 day" or something. Burgers sure are big news!
thursday 1
This is so wrong. If we're talking about fastfood burgers then in order, it's: triple whopper>double whopper > whopper > whopper junior> big mac. That's it.

thursday 1
I did a sin thing today. Bought 2 double cheese burgers, took the filling from second burger and stacked it into the first. My mouth joints still hurt.
JA2340 16
There is a reason people talk about plastic macs! It is so they can describe the flavour and taste of a McD burger. Ony good thing about them is that they taste the same all over the world, no surprises in them. Honestly, I'd rather eat shoe leather! At least that came from a cow!
Tubby Beaver 209
yeah big will, I guess it should just be called the 1/2 pounder but its not, they call it the double 1/4 pounder....maybe because its 2 patties and not one giant monster I actually like Wendys burgers as well, double and triple cheeseburger....lovely!! thursday 1
Wendy's still in the UK? Thought she pulled out. I like their square burger with meat hanging over the side. Extra meat for your buck. Those shakes were pretty good too.

grungy-gonads 54
Too much meat in a burger is nasty. Funny thing to say, but true.
thursday 1
not only a triple, there's also a sickening quad whopper.
thursday 1
if the bun is too high, it's really hard to get your mouth open wide enough. Flatter bread might work.
