grungy-gonads 54
That Japan release date is crazy, it really is.
thursday 1
we've been through this. The voice over people won't be free 'til Jan.
grungy-gonads 54
I understand.
2pints-mate 0
Very mixed reviews now for the new Bond. Out tomorrow I think I'll see it over the weekend. As long as they used this as the theme song I'll be happy
RobBright 35
mixed reviews? good, great and fantastic kind of mixed?
2pints-mate 0
No..... totally crap <> really good, love or hate kind of mixed. Seems the plot (and editing) is fairly 'complex' and if you haven't seen Casino Royale, you can forget it! Curious to see how I like it.
BagOfCrisps 24
Yes quite mixed by the looks - too dark, editing all over the place, not much 'fun' seem to be the main critisisms.
pie-eater 207
I think it looks good actually. The opposite of the cheesy Moore thing going on. Though they would be wise not to dump all the "Bond" stuff, in fact Daniel has been saying that the next one might be more lighthearted and see Q and Moneypenny etc return. thursday 1
I've seen Casino, and I think it was too violent.
BagOfCrisps 24
Well, you might not like this one then. It is more violent and action than Casino Royale. I liked it. I think. It kind of felt rushed in places - especially compared to CR which was a bit too long, but that was the style they were going for. It's certainly not a barrel of laughs. Need to see it again. But I really think they need to reign it back in and inject some lightness and humour next time.
big-will 7
It'll be out on DVD over there before we get it in cinemas. Does it differ enough from those Bourne films people are comparing it to. Would be sad if Bond losts it's essential Bondness.
2pints-mate 0
I think CR was better all round. Not quite satisfied. I agree they need to inject a bit more lightness into it next time. Not too much, but more than, er, none!
klingon 10
Damn I want to see that before late January.
BagOfCrisps 24
Spoiler For those of you in Japan who can't see it until 2040 or something, here's the opening titles (complete with naked babes)
thursday 1
2041 to be precies
scouser 4
January 2041 to be even more precise.
grungy-gonads 54
Decent titles. (Apart from the 'song'). Though it has spoilt it a bit now.
yoroshiku onegai shimasu 2
You'll have forgotten it all by the time it's released......
eeeeeel 0
Watched Bond today. I thought it was decent but like lots of others have said, not Bondy enough. And that doesn't mean silly gadgets etc but it just felt like an action movie with Bond plonked in it. Now they've got this story out of their system, lets have some charm. Daniel Craig - think he's great.
big-will 7
I saw it over the weekend. I quite liked it, other than the ridiculously "wft is happening" editing of some of the action which was a bit much. And that theme song is without doubt the worst Bond theme ever. By a mile. ( Even including Madonna and Garbage, That's saying something ).
Tubby Beaver 209
I liked the Bond movie, went to see it yesterday. No smarmy chessiness, just Bond kicking ass. Daniel Craig is the toughest Bond since Connery. I much prefer the action feel of the movie over the crass cheesiness of previous Bonds!! Now Bond has a Martini, shaken, not stirred then glasses his enemy after he finished it!!
big-will 7
I don't want smarmy cheesiness. But this movie was lacking in any charm at all. Casino Royale had that and was far better because of it. Hopefully with a bit of that, the next one might be top. Lots of people have compared it to the Bourne movies and while I didn't particularly like them I can see where they are coming from.
fukdane 2
Agree with you there big-will. That song is just unspeakably bad.
