kokodoko 67
I know there is a combined goryu and 47 lift pass. Are there lift passes that encompass all or more of the areas in hakuba? (+happo one, e.g.) I did a search but i could not find the information. The early bird season pass for goryu/47 for 48,000 sounds alright. But would i get bored with just those two resorts? If anyone could point me in the right direction that would be great, thanks.
Yuki's Passion 1
If you plan on riding trees/powder at Goryu/47 you better have point tickets cuz you'll lose your season pass there before you know it.
thursday 1
that's WHEN they catch you.
kokodoko 67
hmm never thought of that. thanks. What are point tickets?
Markie 0
Point tickets are tickets that allocate you a number of points and you can use them until the points run out (but usually valid for 1 day only). Usually each time you take a lift, one point is deducted but for some longer lifts or gondolas, maybe 2 or 3 points are deducted.
thursday 1
you can add to your points by taking out: grannies: 1 point one piece ski suit oyajis: 5 points
Fattwins 0
A point pass is available all season long. 47 and Goryu are onto that scam. There is no seasons pass for the whole valley as of yet. They have no idea what to price that at even if they did put one out there. They do have a lottery seasons pass but that is finished now.
kokodoko 67
Thank you one and all. It seems like it is best to just play it by ear and go where the action is.. I will suss it out when i get there, i think.
Domokun_72dpi 0
Wow. I am even more confused about what sort of pass to get... But $480 Aud for a lift pass?, wow. that seems a lot to me. Wht is it for a 2 week pass? hey FT, am coming for 2 weeks now, yay!, so I'll email u the details mate =)
spook 0
i'd say $480 for a season ticket is pretty damn cheap. compare it to prices in oz, europe or north america and you'll be pleasantly suprised. just buy day passes domokun. they're only about 3000 yen a day, and that way you are free to try out a bunch of different resorts
Fattwins 0
lets msn later domo and ill tell you more about passes
kokodoko 67
domo, $480 is cheap compared to oz. My perisher season pass cost me $1200 (ish) a five day weekday pass for goryu/47 costs Y15,000 which is about the best value.
Domokun_72dpi 0
Cheers for the Info koko & Spook. Am stoked, the Missues rang jetStar and got the tix to Osaka brought forth one week, so we get a longer holiday now! yes, a lot more costs, but damn this will be worth it. Char later tonight if you are online FT, cheers!
bibowj 0
$480 is quite cheap actually, considering that my home mountain (mt Baker in Washington State) is well over $700 a year ..and its not exactly HUGE ...
abelere 0
i wish lifts were ~3000Y/day, they are closer to 5000Y nowadays. it adds up pretty quick if you hop around. happy7 tix are the way to go IMO for that. season tix are really worthwhile.
Fattwins 0
11,500 for a 3 day happo pass. http://122.200.200.133/06-07winter/gelande/lift/ That will give you info on the average lift prices in the valley.
Tubby Beaver 209
whats the story with the happy 7 ticket?? I thought that covered the main resorts in Hakuba? Any idea on the price for a weeks happy7 pass?
Fattwins 0
the price has not been released yet, Stemik where are you?
stemik 14
weeks Happy 7 - price not officially released. It looks like the weeks Happy 7 will only be available for inbound guests, meaning foreigners coming from overseas. Though i am sure ex-pats living in Japan will be ok showing passport (not Gaijin card). Will let you everyone know later all details.
kokodoko 67
the weeks happy 7 sounds good as well as the 3day happo pass. combined with the goryu/47 5day weekday pass, that should sort me out.. thank you.. I will be bringing skis and snowboard. I am learning snowboarding so will go to goryu/47 and snowboard when the pulvershchnee aint dumping and then get on the skis when it dumps and learn how to ski powder.. It is a bit hard learning in oz, seeing we get stuff all.. lol..
