pie-eater 207
Anyone seen this tv series? Any good? Over summer I spent a few days in Wales and we visited Portmerion - the strange little village (you have to pay to get into) where that series was filmed along with a fair few other tv/movies I believe. It really was a strange little place. Fairly pretty, supposedly Italian style, down by the sea. I couldn't see why we were paying so much to see it (other than remembering we were in the UK!) but I am interested in seeing the tv series.
thursday 1
I stayed at Porthmadog many years ago. It used to be very quiet. Don't know now.
spook 0
so, uh, why did you have to pay exactly?
Tubby Beaver 209
Porthmadog have a footy team, my mate looks out for their score, I look out for the Cefn Druids' score. No reason to it other than they have wacky names!!!
soubriquet 0
Patrick McGoohan. Dangerman and The Prisoner were ripper series.
thursday 1
whacky names? Tremadog, the village up the road from Porthmadog
scouser 4
It's a "private village", a tourist attraction. So of course it costs seven quid to get in. The buildings in there are either souvenir shops or hotel rooms (the main hotel is down by the water). Curious place it is.
BagOfCrisps 24
Been watching this the last few weeks. Good, quirky series it is.
Ezorisu 0
Great TV series that! Some of the episodes are borderline psychadelic (if you can imagine anything "UK grey" being psychadelic). I watched it religiously in "my younger days" - it warped my fragile little mind!
big-will 7
That last episode is crazy. Did anyone understand it?
pie-eater 207
big-will..... no.
Ezorisu 0
Was it just an existential turn where he is a prisoner of himself in his own mind? ...or something like that?
nagpants 1
I liked the first few, I thought the last 5 or 6 were a drop in quality. The last one was just a bit too weird for my liking. Apparently ITV are doing some sort of re-make.
Nisoko 6
Please please please don't remake it. Are any remakes of classics like this every halfway decent?
nice 0
Top series. Makes me want to watch it again.

BagOfCrisps 24
I see Mr McGoohan has passed away.
Tubby Beaver 209
Both are football teams in the Welsh League, because they have funny names me and my mate at home have taken to following their scores and betting on them. He likes Porthmadog and I like the Newi Cefn Druids!!
LiquidX 0
New US tv series out soon. Here's the trailer. Wonder what it'll be like
big-will 7
Doesn't look like Portmerion that!
grungy-gonads 54
OK so last night I saw the first episode of the remade The Prisoner last night. Fairly interesting though never going to have the magic of the original - which by the way will also be starting on Super Channel from tomorrow (or is it Saturday, can't rememeber)
