A mini shinkansen which runs up and down the east coast main line at the same speed as the big boys. It splits off at Fukushima and from there it operates as a normal express on standard track. It can fit through the narrow tunnels and manage the tight turns on the mountain track through to Yamagata. We live directly in front of Oishida station, about 150 metres from the main entrance.
