OK I am going to be buying some skis in time for next season and a bit lost with all the different brands etc. What features do you choose new skis (or snowboard) on? How much of it is to do with the "look" of the skis compared to the technical specs - which I presume possibly incorrectly are fairly similar?

Thanks

Pretty design, marketing gimmicks, colours, "pros use them so I should", expensive for no apparent reason, and alwasy use for one season only. Or if you can't handle them when you get to the slopes, RENT.

Bear that in mind and you can't go wrong.

I only get snowboards that are expensive for no apparent reason thumbsup.gif

seriously though, one thing i look at is the warranty. I am not such a good rider that small differences in flex and camber make a difference to my riding. But i want to get a quality board that will last me a few seasons.

nd usually, the longer the warranty, the better built the board.

Case and point, Never Summer.
