Hi Fattwins thanks I wasn't actually asking for specifics in my case - more in general.... what makes you buy one set of skis over another - technical info or pretty design or both?

OK I am going to be buying some skis in time for next season and a bit lost with all the different brands etc. What features do you choose new skis (or snowboard) on? How much of it is to do with the "look" of the skis compared to the technical specs - which I presume possibly incorrectly are fairly similar? Thanks

Had a go at skiing for the first time this winter - that was in Switzerland. For next season I hope to check out what Japan has to offer.
