Oggmonster 0
OK I am going to be buying some skis in time for next season and a bit lost with all the different brands etc. What features do you choose new skis (or snowboard) on? How much of it is to do with the "look" of the skis compared to the technical specs - which I presume possibly incorrectly are fairly similar? Thanks
Fattwins 0
way not enough info. skill level what you intend to ski height weight etc
Oggmonster 0
Hi Fattwins thanks I wasn't actually asking for specifics in my case - more in general.... what makes you buy one set of skis over another - technical info or pretty design or both?
thursday 1
Pretty design, marketing gimmicks, colours, "pros use them so I should", expensive for no apparent reason, and alwasy use for one season only. Or if you can't handle them when you get to the slopes, RENT. Bear that in mind and you can't go wrong.
Kumapix 0
nice once Thursday I only get snowboards that are expensive for no apparent reason The graphics are important to me too, especially when I walk around the cafeteria with it
Fattwins 0
Everything needs to be considered. your body shape your sking wants etc different companies make different skis that either suit you or not.
scouser 4
Do you reckon though that a lot of people just buy "what looks cool"?

bushpig 0
What is a "sking" FT?
Oyuki kigan 0
seriously though, one thing i look at is the warranty. I am not such a good rider that small differences in flex and camber make a difference to my riding. But i want to get a quality board that will last me a few seasons. nd usually, the longer the warranty, the better built the board. Case and point, Never Summer.
Kumapix 0
case in point? btw how long is the never summer warranty? Nitro has a two year warranty but their boards snap real easy
