2pints-mate 0
Anyone here know much about Korean accents. Someone sent me this? Would koreans have problems with that pronounciation? http://hem.bredband.net/b295439/korean_clock_lady2.mp3
JPchucky 0
Damn, that's funny. I've always thought the Korean language had more phonetic sounds than English, so pronunciation was relatively easy for them but...

scouser 4
I'm sure a good few people have a good few laughs at many of our Japanese accents here. Had a chuckle at that though.
Markie 0
This reminds me of my first trip to England as a student when my English ability was not too good. So I arrive at Heathrow and take out HK$500 and get it exchanged for 31 pounds and 25 pence. Then I make my way to a youth hostel in London where I say for a couple of days before heading off to my school. When I get to the train station to try to buy a ticket to Bridgend where my school is located, I realize my supply of Pounds is running out so a go to the closest bank and take out another HK$500 but this time I only get 31 pounds 15 pence. Now I'm not stupid, I know when someone's trying to pull a fast one, so I tell the teller: "This not right. Two days ago man at Heathrow give me 31 pounds 25 pence. Don't cheat me. Why you give me less?" He replied curtly: "Fluctuations." Well, that got me mad; a cheat AND a racist! So I yelled back at him: "Fluct you English too!"
rach 1
How long did you live in England Markie?
Markie 0
Didn't really. Bridgend is in Wales. BTW I hope you don't really think that story is real. You should know I'm full of BS by now.
BagOfCrisps 24
I believed it.... you're funny sometimes, you foreigners.
Ocean11 0
Markie, I knew it had to be made up. In that situation, the teller would say "Fluctuations, mate".

LiquidX 0
It might be better to stay away from them for your English listening skills... you don't know what you might pick up!
baldguy 0
I have picked up some very bad Japanese by listening to some comedy. I try to avoid it now.
