I doubt I would know about skiing or would be coming to Japan to do that without this site. I'm sure that applies to a whole lot of other people. Brilliant. Keep up the good work!

Wow! As a total beginner, I'd like to know how long it might take someone to be able to get that good at skiing to go to places like that?

I was surprised to see in a shop yesterday that the over the glasses ones weren't that much bigger or they didn't strike me as being anyway. Didn't get any yet still thinking and looking.

I have no idea what they are called, words fail me. But in some sports shops I have noticed some long sleeved t-shirts that claim to have some technology that keeps you warm and toasty if you wear that as a lower level. Something different than normal thermals. Anyone able to shed any light on that for me - and are things like that effective? Thanks

Thanks. My eyes don't react well to contact lenses and so I can't use those unfortunately. I might be able to ski without glasses but I'm sure I'd enjoy it more (and be slightly safer!) with them on!

Hi folks. My first time on skis is approaching, getting excited. I was looking at goggles over the weekend and wasn't able to catch a sales guy (shops were surprisingly busy) but wondering what people who wear eyeglasses do when our skiing and snowboarding? Do you wear them under goggles? Sorry for the noob question!

You guys would like a classic tv channel over there? Arent there any like that with old brit stuff on?

My friends told me to get what I could afford and thats what I&ve done - first time for me too. Going to wrap up a lot though one thing I don&t like it being cold. Really looking forward to it though I cant wait to try it all out.

Hi there Soon I'll be buying equipment. It's all very exciting but I am getting lost looking at the dizzying array of what is out there. On the question of size, I'd be interested to hear what people are using. Seems ask 10 people the question about size and you'll get 10 different opinions. So - your height, perhaps your level and the size of your skis or snowboard. Anyone happy to share that info with me? PS I'm 156cm tall. Thanks
