  1. You could check under the 6 or 7 empty beer bottles that surrounded you (and I am sure there were more when I left)
  2. To be honest, looking at the shark bite in those skis I doubt they would warranty them. It is sooooo obviously a tip plant break. That said, they usually give you the option of buying new ones at half price which may be a good thing as those skis are too short anyway.
  3. FT has one of only 20 pairs of prototype Brockers and one of only about 10 that match production specs. I think he has the only pair with touring bindings so I had him test them on the uphill. Awaiting review...
  4. I have brockers and 188s but I may buy some 183 softs and mount them dynafit.
  5. I am not in FTs friends list. I think he is still bitter about being left behind on that cortina day
  6. Schweeeeet. It is great to see skiers/boarders getting out there and gettin' er done while the rest of the board is bitching about slush. I love spring!
  7. I go to the Snova 246 in Tokyo, which is not near any mountains. There is a pipe but more of a beginer pipe. There are a couple of kickers, three rails that they switch up on a daily basis and a wall ride. The landings are rock hard so one screw up on the kickers and you will be in a world of pain. I have stopped hitting the kickers for that reason. Good rail practice though.
  8. I didn't know it was shut down! I was going to buy a snowmobile too. After spending a month in Canada riding my dad's sleds I am ready...
  9. Shinbang doesn't last a week so I wouldn't worry to much. Don't run or anything. The biggest cause of shinbang is landing flat back seat even off a small jump. Did you land on the table on any of those jumps on Sat? That will be the killer. FT, first I hear about the vasaline on you nipples and now the maxipads in your boots. hmmmmm....
  10. Kandatsu is popular on weekends partly helped by a cheap bus package straight to the resort for day trips from Tokyo. As such, it is a bit of a gaper slalom on the out runs. They manage lift lines well, though, as they are one of the only resorts in Japan with the lifties purposely filling each chair. There are actually some semi-steep runs in Kandatsu (rare for Yuzawa) and they do a good job of grooming. They are popular with mogul skiers and have hand groomed mogul runs while the park is one of the best maintained in Japan (no pipe though). The food is quite good and it has a great onse
  11. I have all the pics. The ones I posted in the TR are reduced resolution anyway so I will make you a disk
  12. Here are our photos from the day. Not really TR worthy shots due to poor light etc but better than nothing. We spent a lot of the day teeing up minigolf hits on a couple of dams but our inrun into the dam looked a bit like this: We hit a few natural features on the way. My first hit was a bit slow as I misjudged the inrun... But KofM went flying We got to the dam and started to take it small to start But soon realised that it was bigger on the other side The flat light kind of washes out the size in the photo, but it looked big f
  13. there sure is a lot of pressure on me now to put together my ninja outfit... Anyone know how I can write the kanji for Shinobi (忍) on the back of the jacket? Airbrush? Spraypaint with a stencil?

She asked me for the time. Then 30 Seconds later she asked me again, and another 30 Seconds again. Then she said "I think I am brain damaged". I asked her what's up - she said "I forgot". I said, lets have a rest and have drink in t
  15. I want to drive up from Tokyo tonight but I had a rough week sleep wise. If someone wanted to come along and help with the driving they get a free trip up. The main condition is that we listen to my ipod and my playlists and stop at the SA with the best yakitori stand.
