  4. true, fiddling around on the slope trying to change lenses is not the way to go. I normally take a punt and hope it's either sunny all day or overcast all day. Mind you you can get all round type goggles with a minor tint and minor reflective tint, that cope with flat to semi bright.
  5. hahaha whenever I check, it's a sweet item!!! Spy Soldier Goggles, 28 bux, on now.
  6. it's true, the orange/yellow/brown lenses help more in the flat cloudy days, and the reflective help more on the clear sunny days. Electric goggles, come with these two lenses, so you can change them depending on the day.

The benefits of buying in OZ is you can claim the GST off your gear at the airport (that's what i did last year)... great call there SB, getting duty free is a nice way to save dosh, also, because you're buying ski gear out of season, you might be able to save again. I also agree with the sizing issue, you mighten find the right sizes in a foreign market. so I'd buy before you go, and hire the rest (board
  8. Australia versus Italy in the World Cup, final minutes, Lucas Neil sliding defensive tackle, Grosso takes a dive in the box. We lose.

  10. Einstein couldn't speak fluently when he was nine. His parents thought he might be retarded. In Los Angeles, there are fewer people than there are automobiles. About a third of all Americans flush the toilet while they're still sitting on it. You're more likely to get stung by a bee on a windy day than in any other weather. An average person laughs about 15 times a day. Penguins can jump as high as 6 feet in the air. The first known contraceptive was crocodile dung, used by Egyptians in 2000 B.C. A Saudi Arabian woman can get a divorce if her husband doesn't
  11. Ok, things I've discovered recently. -a great song: bread and roses remix by Dj Wonder. Dj wonder website (and the song) -my new ski boots: Tecnica Fire -that snot really doesn't rub into skin - steepandcheap.com has an exclusion list on items that they don't ship internationally. (Stupid!)
  12. Blink and missed it! Oakley Widsom goggles $31, bugger not delivering them to Australia.

  17. STEEPANDCHEAP.COM you've got to be keen to keep watching to see whats selling next, and it's been mostly womens stuff recently. The occasional gem presents itself.
  18. Powder TV, latest from Niseko. Some nice turns, even if it's getting a bit tracked out.
  19. sweet photo, captures the beauty and stillness of the moment and the moutain.
  20. Other places in Melbourne I forgot that have that sort of thing: -Snowgum -Kathmandu (previously mentioned) -Rebel Sport (depending on season, and if they stock ski gear) -Any Ski shop on Hardware Lane in the city should have something like that -Mountain Designs
  21. Face masks, balaclavas, ski masks, neck warmers. etc Yeah I'd suggest the local Aussie Disposals, you can get em for less than $30. Seeing it's summer they'll probably be cheaper than that. Ring the store to avoid disappointment, so you don't show up and they don't have stock. Maybe I'll see you on the slopes, or if you get one of those camo ones, maybe I wont see you...
  22. I think I'll be taking the limousine bus, sounds a hell of a lot easier, cash shouldn't be a problem. So might as well relax and enjoy the door to door service. Thanks for all the info, hopefully this will help others making the trip.
