  1. MJ, did you teach sign language? I'm thinking about doing that.
  2. Access to the resort itself is critical. Not everyone has access to a car and an awesome mountain that is difficult to access with public transport is a real bummer. Other important things: 1) Maintanence of the resort (including grooming, park, toilets, etc) 2) Snow conditions 3) Length of the queues 4) Variety of terrain easy, medium, hard, and suicidal
  3. Soubs, but I would guess that the waves would have to travel farther up the mountain so you'd feel less than if at sea-level.
  4. Didn't feel it at all here in Osaka. But i was sleeping in and on only the 2nd floor of a 2 floor house, so that doesn't surprise me.

  6. Azabu-Juban festival - I'll be there doing the Bone Dance.
  7. BOC, I'll post a TR after I go. I couldn't go today because I haven't received my Shomesho. Once I get that, i'll head down there and gleefully accept my unemployment check as I look thru the help wanted ads for Russian hostesses, Philipino singers, and Yoshinoya counter staff.
  8. Nope, i'm not independently wealthy...never made 30M a year....and could live off my interest if I slept under a park bench in Yoyogi, but then again, couldn't anyone? Sorry Samurai for the confusion - too many threads, too many topics, too much sarcasm. To clarify: - Don't need any help finding work - that was sarcasm - Would like to hear other's biz ideas - makes for good banter that's all...
  9. No more talk of salaries...fictional or otherwise. It doesn't bother me, even if mine is $0.00 but I know some are sensitive - best to leave it alone. I've got a few ideas of my own and am going to start on the business plan and run the numbers. Feel free to keep the ideas coming - not only for me, but for all... anyway, i'm off to "Hello Work"....
  10. I was joking in the chat box about making $30M, the thread was supposed to be serious, but at this point, the comedy is refreshing. Options so far: 1) Man-Whore 2) Pimp 3) Porn star 4) Prawn-star (farming) 5) Importer/exporter 6) Homesick products I think i'll tackle them in this order.... and by the way, if I use any of the ideas from this forum and make my $300M, I'll be sure to throw one hell of a party in hakuba and Niseko!
  11. I suppose this started off as a joke. I was asking the question "How can I make $30M a/year". I have a very unrealistic goal (but you have to aim high right), of making $300M (dollars, not yen) in ten years. I figure if you shoot for the stars and only make it half way, that's not bad. I'm sorry if anyone was under the impression that I was already making $30M, sorry to mislead - I don't make that kind of cash. Money isn't actually important to me, it's the freedom that it provides. If I had to be a slave to my job, than it's not worth the money. I like the country side, but i'm a c
  12. :GRRRRR: That's why I posted (Seriously). Otherwise i'm going to get suggestions that I go into porn!
  13. Teaching English to Japanese is well represented here and the companies that are doing it have driven the wage into the ground - I don't know that you could make good money, or help others make good money in that line... I'm not looking for a Job here, I'm looking for business ideas... What is AET? Adult Entertainment Television?

  15. I was chatting with BOC on the shout box and it got me thinking... Does anyone have any great business ideas in Japan. Primarily ones that could harness the untapped gaijin talent in this country that is overwork and underpaid for thier efforts?
  16. Back on topic.... Billy's Bootcamp KICKED MY ASS! I did it two days ago, and I'm still in pain. My season of snowboarding kept my front thigh muscles in shape, no pain there - but the squats did a number on the back of my thighs...I can barely walk today. Billy should be paying me for this workout!
  17. Tomato paste and calmata olives (two ingredients I needed yesterday and couldn't find at Queen's Isetan)
  18. Fat chicks with hairy backs and lips are the worse...
  19. They say to punch the shark in the nose, but anyone who has been underwater can understand how hard it is to throw a punch down there...I think the shark can open his mouth faster than I can throw a punch so it would probably land square in his mouth...
  20. Thats a seriously long drop from Wahiawa down to N. Shore - I could see you hit some serious speeds on that run....I never did any speed riding, but I did do some Mt. bike trecking at Waimea falls...my arms were spegetti for like 3 days after that...
  21. Like hiring a prostitute - you pay way too much money hoping for extacy, but it's all over too quickly...
  22. No, but she would have one if she cheated - but she's so not the type...
