And this is what happens when you plant a tree over them. Immortalised for centuries.

They make good fertilizer when you bury them as well. Useful even after they're gone!

Cheaper just to get a new one.

It's a bit Pearl Harbour out there tonight......there's a nasty nip in the air!

And of course the dumb****s in Western Australia cull sharks because they kill so many people each year....Australia is such a great country.

2014- the year of jogging

Didn't jog at all today but I did plant more than 600 plants and am feeling pretty buggered. -
I'm really surprised to hear that, GN. Well it has mostly become a day to rally all the bogans and nationalists. People I generally try to avoid.

The best advice I can give is don't start your day in Hirafu. Other base areas are nowhere near as busy. -
I don't really get into ANZAC Day but it's always nice to have a day off..

There's always a reasonable amount of snow on the ground by the 20th of Dec. Certainly enough to have all the piste runs open. It really depends on how much off-piste you're wanting to do. There's a bamboo type grass off-piste that can require over 2m snowdepth to get completely covered and this can limit access to the off-piste in early season. It also means that the peak is rarely opened before the new year. Ideally the later dates would give you a better chance of all the terrain being open. If you're mostly going to be staying on-piste though the earlier dates would be fine. -

I ran about 30 metres today. I was pretty proud of myself. -
We've transferred large amounts of money from Aus to our Japanese bank account without any tax implications for us in Japan. But obviously that was our own money that we'd paid tax on in Aus transferred to our own account in Japan. There may be some gift tax issues though with sending money from Aus into another person's account in Japan. As it may affect your girlfriend's tax get her to contact the tax office or her bank to check on any possible implications. You could transfer it into my Japanese account. I'll look after for you!

How much of your net salary do you manage to save?
Go Native replied to Error404's topic in General off-topic discussions
Last financial year we managed to save about 30%. We just bought the 40 acre property that our nursery business is situated on though so there's not a lot of spare change in the coffers at the moment. Still had enough left over though to book our next Japan skiing holiday! -

I've skinned out across the lake a few times in winter. Awesome spot. And yes those lines on the other side look real good. -
Please help me with car ideas

We are currently looking at getting the Mitsubishi PHEV. It's a plug in hybrid SUV that supposedly gets around 1.9L/100km fuel efficiency. -

Could you see Lake Okotanpe on the backside of Eniwa-dake Mike? If so, is it still frozen? -
I've still yet to have any dental procedure done on my teeth besides basic check ups and cleaning. I haven't been to the dentist in a few years now though. Might be time for a check up.

Australia used to offer excellent rebates and feed in tariffs as well until the conservatives got back in power. Now they seem to be doing everything they can to destroy the renewable energy industry. We used to be pretty good at protecting our forests too but according to the ****wit we now have as PM, loggers are supposedly the "greatest conservationists". Truly a great country to live in....

Eastern Hokkaido is getting hammered with this system. -
Did you find it quite warm after Hokkaido? I remember doing a trip down Kyoto in Spring and feeling really warm and everyone else was rugged up like it was mid winter!
