  1. your existing compact will be fine. if you keep it out for long periods, ie reviewing pics on the lift, then the battery will die sooner than usual. if you drop it in the snow it won't explode.
  2. we get some deep pow days in feb, but the last few years the end of dec and early January has been pretty bare
  3. you need to post more to get your pm's enabled just bring both boards & one set of bindings
  4. don't be scared by a freestyle board - they can be a lot of fun, plus they ride fine all over the mountain

  11. hmmm, 162 bmc 166 frontier 164 custom x 160 fish ltd 162 malolo 160 fish noboard lol, didn't realize I had 6 now! (and that they were all burton) I also have a 162 nitro suprateam but that's got a fracture under the back binding. Anyone want it?

  15. last year's opening day was hella fun but this year's was incredible. Hardly any people too. the Sunday was good too I heard. Although no new snow, the wind blew in some. Contender: same to you Keep us updated on your skiing

  17. Got up at 5am, left the house at 5:30, got to the mountain at 7:20. Fattwins and Dizzy were already lined up so I joined them and got blocked from the first gondola by an incompetent liftie. Rejoined them at the top for first Alpen chair of the 08-09 season. Waist-deep pow conditions but I was super nervous, having decided to Noboard my first run. Fattwins and Dizzy went left and I went right, alone to take the Kurobishi first tracks. I dropped in fast and found that all my summer indoboarding, as well as studying Johan's part in Aesthetica, had really paid off. I flowed through the turns, sur
